Jacob Reuben, Principal
Jacob Reuben is the founder and principal of AZ Capital Fund. Jacob has 15 years of experience in origination, underwriting and negotiating financial transactions. He started his career in New York in 2006, working in investment banking for Imperial Capital. After Imperial, Jacob worked for 8 years for Huron Consulting in their Restructuring and Turnaround Group advising distressed businesses.
In 2013, Jacob was hired by Vermont Castings Group as their Chief Financial Officer. During his time at VCG, he assisted the company in restructuring its balance sheet and eventually sold the business to its largest competitor.
After the successful sale of VCG, Jacob returned to Arizona, where he enrolled in the Full Time MBA program at W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. While attending business school, Jacob started lending in real estate and eventually started AZ Capital Fund.
He was born and raised in Arizona and has his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona. He is married and has two young children.
Vic Pocius, Vice President
Vic Pocius is a former underwriting risk manager of corporate banking at Wells Fargo Bank and Zions Bancorporation. His underwriting and loan structuring experience spans several industries, including real estate, construction, agriculture, retail, aerospace, and entertainment. In addition to his credit and lending experience, Mr. Pocius is fluent in Spanish and advises on deal structure and risk for an international trade finance insurance firm based near NYC.
Pocius earned his MBA from Arizona State University and resides in Phoenix, AZ. He also holds degrees in accounting, mathematics, and pre-medicine studies.
